Landscape + Garden Design
Sculpture Park – Ongoing
For many years the spectacular site surrounded by rugged, spectacular mountains had been covered in poorly performing vines. For the last few years the client has been transforming the vineyard into a stunning sculpture park, adding to the collection several sculptures each year.
With a background in sculpture and a keen affinity for natural landscapes Kirsten is engaged to guide and assist the client in siting the collection. With most of the vegetation gone, it was necessary to create different spaces by blurring the boundaries of the property by allowing the native grasses to obscure the edges and by using tree plantings to transform the vast, open expanse into a series of varied and sheltered spaces, more suitable for housing sculpture.
